8th Worthing Sea Scouts 90th Anniversary Dinner
October 19 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
On 15 September 1928, 8th Worthing (Tarring Baptist Church) Scout Group was registered with The Boy Scouts Association at their Imperial Headquarters.
We only had 1 Officer, 8 Wolf Cubs and 4 Scouts back then when we started. Together with your help, we’ve grown a bit!
To celebrate our 90th anniversary we will be holding a dinner at The Charmandean Centre, Forest Road, on Friday 19th October 2018. All past and present members, family and friends (and partners) who are 18 or over are cordially invited to attend. Sorry – no children.
We do not intend to make any profit out of this event and have kept the cost as low as possible to encourage as many people to attend as possible. The cost will be just £25 per head (the same price as our 75th anniversary dinner back in 2003!!). This will include 4 courses, welcome drinks and some wine. Additional drinks will be able to be purchased from the bar.
There will be a set menu. The starter will be Beef tomato, mozzarella and basil salad. The main course will be chicken wrapped in bacon with a mushroom sauce. Special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian or gluten free, will be catered for on request. The desert will be Eton Mess.
Dress code will be uniform or smart casual. Arrive at 7:00pm to eat at 7:30pm. The evening will end by 11:00pm or whenever you wish to leave before.
If you would like a night off from cooking and would like to join in our celebration with us, please fill in the enclosed form and return it with the full payment no later than Sunday 30th September.
